Story
Born in a bedroom, built for the world.
Some ideas are born in boardrooms. Mine was born during COVID-19 lockdown, sometime in my second year of university. While the world was figuring out how to bake banana bread, I was trying to figure out how international students could connect without feeling lost or alone.
When I first arrived in China in 2019, I realized something important: being an international student is exciting… but also confusing, isolating, and sometimes, downright overwhelming. There was no single space where we could come together.
“It will get better tomorrow. What if it doesn’t? Then you say it again tomorrow—because at some point, tomorrow will be better.”
Now, University Blog is a movement. With a powerhouse team by my side, we’re building the most impactful space for international students worldwide.
